22/30 23/30 Take These Nouns Little Flower

22/30
Take these Nouns
feed a fledging
with a trowel
munch words
like vestige.
Somewhere
in the heart of a ship
suffixes are stored in a caboose.
The intercom buzzes, the captain says,
"For every word there is a syllable
For every -less there is an -able."
The ocean hums
the sky is a colander
full of words.
Droplets form on a page,
they lick the skull.

23/30
Chair bound
Hello,
little flower
you have
no arms or feet
but my oh my
you smell
so sweet.
