Sky Poems

Today the sky was a perfect blue and so I sat on a grassy hill re-reading Nate Pritts', Sky Poems. Sky Poems is a little poetry chapbook by Greying Ghost Press. I am sad to say it was on a limited run and they're all sold out. I've fallen head over heels in love with this little chapbook. Perhaps it's because Nate addresses one of my favourite themes, sky, and does it with the expertise of a skilled painter. Structure and shape of the poetry is very important. You can see the poems are not titled.  I like that. The language is simple, however, through this simplicity images and emotions shine. Consider these poems, found in the book and taken from The Scrambler and published in issue 45
