Wine Days

Most days memories collect foggy like an extract from our wine soaked days when we used to roam vineyards on groggy mornings and scramble heady over brush. We jaunted up hills, reckless adventurers  in unknown territories. Climbing high we perched at the edge of the world, and looked out into the future with eyes full of sun.

You should read 'Brotherhood of the Grape' by John Fante if you haven't already. Based on this, I think you'd love it.

I've heard of it, but never read it. But because you're recommending it, I think I'm going to have a read of it. Cheers! Oh, and I read your post. Your last line sounds a little harsh - but in a very good way!

I'll second the Fante recommendation. I haven't read that particular book but I've read the Arturo Bandini novel series and his short stories. I doubt you can go wrong with any of his books.

Well, Sean if you recommend him as well I've got to see what all the fuss is about. So a trip to the library it is then!

Cheers Robin and Sean!
