Filling the Void

Quitting isn't a very acceptable thing to talk about. People say things like:

'I hear you're off the sauce.'
'Was drink a problem for you?'
'So you can't handle it?'
'You must be a lightweight.'

You decide it's best not to talk about it and you struggle with everything that comes with quitting. In steps the zine: Filling the Void: Interviews about quitting drinking and using. It contains eight interviews from people in the punk scene who have been addicted to drink or drugs in some way and what they've done to kick the habit. The interviewees show a willingness to tell their stories and make sure their success stories don't disappear. It doesn't share how to be free from addiction in so-many-steps or contain some magic in its pages. What it does do, however, is discuss quitting in a clear, honest, and in an unassuming way.

Highly recommended!
