A Flamingo's Colour

Where does a flamingo’s pink or reddish feather colour come from? It's its diet, which is high in alpha and beta-carotene.

People eat beta-carotene when they eat carrots. Why aren’t people pink or orange?

Apparently, eating too many carrots turns your hands and feet orange.

Yes, I was about to say that. The reason why a flamingo has that color and we don't is bcause our diet is more balanced with ohter types of nutirents and etc. while a flamingo's is not.

If you ate only carots for awhile, scientifically, chances are you would turn a different tinge of color.
