Mirrors

Mirrors display our thoughts;
the hot water in tub
steams the eyes of love
where little drops of water
form pools of bright blue.

We try to bottle the sun
since man first started
we struggle with our reflection
with the mirror that was directly
in front of our mind.

It's in this mirror, this display case
where legacy's lie, where
green hills are viewed, where lambs
cloud out on fields for the first time.

Reflections can be dark where light
lies no more in stars,
where voices are heard no more
and a pin pricks the heart.

Mirrors are our eyes.
