I Cannot

I cannot behold you,
cloaked as a dove
You have no heart
with which I can love.

I cannot hear you
a phantom dark
You have no words
that leave a mark.

I cannot touch you,
a green poision frog
You have a bite
as sharp as a dog.

But I cannot hate you
so I turn away
You have no tears
for my dying day.

you make over-used rhyming word pairs sound new again.
